Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, transfer to your hotel on your private vehicle.
The capital Hanoi is best known for its thriving contemporary arts scene and French architecture, visible by many colonial villas scattered throughout the city. Compared to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi is more traditional and refined. As Hanoi is becoming more populated with people and automobiles, the city is experiencing more traffic congestion, particularly in the Old Quarter.

Day 2: Hanoi sightseeing – Local food experience (Breakfast/Dinner)
Explore charming Hanoi, the “Paris of the East,” with its yellow-ochre colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards, and gorgeous lakes. Stop by the late-11th-century Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university. This well-preserved temple is featured at the back of the 100,000 dong Vietnamese note. Conitnue to the Museum of Ethnology, which houses a large collection of traditional costumes and artifacts from Vietnam’s 54 ethnic minority groups, ranging from simple, everyday objects like fishing tools to prized possessions like jewelry. Back to central Hanoi for a cyclo cycle through the scenic Old Quarter, where each street is named for its original wares, from silk to silver. Stroll through the interesting network of back alleyways, fronted by narrow “tunnels” or “tube houses” built to escape taxes depending on their street frontage, for a truly eclectic view into Hanoi street life.
Eating on the street is a very typical activity for Hanoians and makes up an important part of the city’s unique culture. Depart your hotel in the early evening to take a walk with your tour guide to the Old Quarter. Try the typical local snacks such as Banh Goi (deep fried wheat flour cake stuffed with minced pork), Banh My Pate or Banh My Lan Ong (Hanoi baguette), Pho Ga or Bun Ca (chicken noodle soup or Fish noodle soup) or Oc (steamed Vietnamese snails with ginger fish sauce) (menu can be modified upon food dietary). Later head to Dong Xuan night market which is well known for all types of goods including souvenirs. Try your hand at bargaining for a good deal before heading off to Beer Corner in the old corner to try a cold glass of Bia Hoi (fresh draft beer) like a local.
Day 3: Hanoi – Mai Chau (Breakfast)
After breakfast, head to the West of Hanoi for Mai Chau Valley – 4.5-hour transfer.
Upon arrival, time to relax at the pool with a complimentary afternoon snack, admire the tranquil nature or participate in the wide range of on-site activities at the resort, workshops, minority textile and batik, yoga classes, meditation, and visit the local museum.

Day 4: Mai Chau – Jungle and Village Trek (Breakfast)
Challenge yourself to an adventure time in the mountain’s beaten tracks. Coordinate your momentum on a steady pace while soaking in the panorama view along the trek. A picnic lunch is served mid-tour, with time to rest and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery.

Day 5: Mai Chau – Ninh Binh – Tam Coc – 4 hours transferring (Breakfast)
From Mai Chau, drive two hours south to Trang An Landscape Complex. In 2014, UNESCO listed Trang An’s limestone karst peaks with sheer vertical walls 200m (656ft) above the surrounding land and water. The terrain is a harmony of rice paddies, streams, and dense rain forest clinging to cliffs and mountains. Admire Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s first centralized feudal state from the late 10th century, in the complex. Despite the fortress’s destruction, Dinh and Le dynasty temples remain amid the rice paddies. Visit Tam Coc, “Halong Bay on Land,” and spend two calm hours floating down the river and through the canals with a seasoned rower. Enter three of the highlands’ many natural caverns to see karst architecture.

Day 6: Tam Coc – Ha Long Bay (~ 210 km driving per way ~ 3 hours) (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Depart Hanoi for a 2-hour drive to Halong Bay by new high way. A UNESCO Natural Heritage Site, Halong Bay covers an area of 43,400 ha (168 sq mi) including over 1,600 islands and islets, most of which are uninhabited and untouched. Board your cruise ship to admire the stunning islets that soar from the clear emerald waters of theGulf of Tonkin. Towering limestone pillars and tiny islets topped by forest along with wind- and wave-eroded grottoes add to the enchantment of this breathtakingly beautiful region. Stop to visit the caves, islets, enjoy kayaking and swimming over the turquoise water of the bay. Optional to join in a cooking demonstration and cocktails. Overnight on board as the ship dock in the quiet bay overlooking to the starry night.
Day 7: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Da Nang – Hoi An (Brunch)
Wake up early in the sound of waves and breeze. Join a Tai-chi class to refresh your soul and body under the sunshine as the ship continues to cruise around the bay, where you can witness life of local fisherman on the floating fishing villages. Enjoy brunch with sip of tea or coffee over the magnificent view of the limestones. Stay relaxing until disembarkation in the afternoon and drive back to Hanoi airport for the flight to Da Nang.
Pick up at the airport, transfer to Hoi An ancient town.

Day 8: Hoi An Ancient town - Cycling around Hoi An countryside (~15 km/~12 mil) (Breakfast)
Hoi An’s level, calm roads are perfect for riding. After breakfast, cycle along the Thu Bon River with serene views of fishing boats and small communities. Pass areca nut (betel nut) gardens, family shrines, rice paddies and local residents as you bike through the tranquil vilages. Enjoy Cam Thanh’s seaside views, kumquat gardens, and corn fields near the Thu Bon River. On your journey back to Hoi An, stop at Tra Que Vegetable village to view local farmers working organic fields. This village grows Hoi An’s best herbs and veggies. Help water or fertilize the plants before cycling back to your hotel.
Overnight in Hoi An Ancient town
The Hoi An entrance ticket is valid for entry to 5 sightseeing spots in Hoi An including merchant houses, the Japanese Covered Bridge, museums, pagodas and assembly halls for 24 hours. It also provides entry into Hoi An Ancient Town for as long as you are in Hoi An. Please keep the entrance ticket with you at all times should you independently visit Hoi An later in the evening or on another day.
Day 9: Fishing life (Breakfast/Lunch)
Today take a leisurely cruise along the Hoi An River on a local family’s boat at the pier. You might try casting a traditional fishing net when the boat stops along the shore. Learn to paddle one of Vietnam’s round basket boats. Relax with some light seafood and a drink on your river boat before returning to town.
Day 10: Da Nang – flight to Saigon - Saigon sightseeing – Contemporary art workshop experience (Breakfast)
After breakfast, leave for the airport for the flight to Saigon.
Upon arrival, visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, a red brick edifice with twin spires constructed from materials imported from France (entrance is only permitted when no services are being performed). Then, walk across to the Central Post Office, completed in 1891. Then explore an old apartment building which has revived by young business of local brand and café. Have a sip of coffee and enjoy the nostalgic vibe.
Continue to visit an art studio established by Bam Bi, a young artist who is passionate in preserving traditional woodblock printing technique, in the wish to make it more approachable to young generation. Hands-on trying the new technique created by Ms. Bam Bi to make your own artworks and bring home. Bam Bi can also perform songs by traditional musical instrument, which is a perfect combination to form art space that breathes life and unity for the community.
Day 11: Saigon – Ben Tre – Saigon (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Leave Saigon for a 1.5-hour drive to Ben Tre Province in the Mekong Delta, which is famous for its coconut products and tropical fruit orchards. Before boarding your private local boat to view river life, pay a visit to a brick factory to learn how bricks are made by hand using centuries-old traditions. Stop at a coconut workshop where you will get to know how every part of the coconut can be used for candies and crafts. Visit a family-run mat shop where you can weave straw sleeping mats. Visit a fruit farmer’s home after a 3km (2mi) tuk-tuk or bicycle ride. After lunch, paddle a sampan through the Delta’s palm-lined rivers. Return to Saigon by car from Hung Vuong pier.
The darker the night gets, the more vivid Saigon becomes! Get ready for a fascinating ride by vintage vespa tonight to discover busy Saigon after dark, together with fun street food tasting in the most authentic local restaurants. Make your first stop at a small yet popular Vietnamese bread stall, line up to get a fresh bread roll before heading to a vintage coffee shop tucked away in a back alley for a briefing. Then continue to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the streets and explore an old apartment complex that comes to life at night with hundreds of food and drinks stalls. Continue riding to a hidden boutique local restaurant to taste the freshest Southern Vietnamese courses. Take a break at a 30-year-old street dessert shop. Conclude your night at a speakeasy bar tucked away in a quiet alley to taste their signature cocktails and have a chat with people here. Hop back on the Vespa and ride back to your hotel.
Day 12: Saigon (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, time at leisure till leave for the airport for the flight back home.
